Winter is surely creeping up on us and as we know Winter Blues is definitely a thing!

  • 1. Be Intentional About Self-Care

To start it’s essential to carve out small pockets of time in our days to recharge mentally and emotionally –
As a parent myself, I know it’s easier said than done but take 5 or 10 minutes before bed for quiet reflection, reading, or what I started doing is a facial treatment.
  • 2. Find Another Vantage Point

It can be defeating to sit inside with the same view, day after day, week after week, especially with the windows closed and the sun playing a good game of hide and seek –
Change your desk space and move to a warmer area in the house, meet a friend for coffee on a set day every week or schedule a double date and head out to dinner.
  • 3. Accountability Goes A Long Way

The idea of getting out of a nice warm bed, early morning, for a jog, sounded absolutely terrible.
But waking up and working out are sure-fire ways to change your mood in the winter.
  • 4. Prep for what’s ahead

Winter is a great time to organize the house – Sort through things to thin out items you haven’t worn or used in a long time.
The sky’s the limit on how you spend downtime in the winter. Set yourself up for a clutter-free, stress-free spring as it heads your way.
  • 5. Nourish the body

Eating seasonal food not only puts the right nutrients back to avoid the flu, but it is also one of those mood factors that come into play.
We also know drinking water in the winter is almost impossible – So stock your cupboard with new herbal teas and some feel-good soup recipes and ingredients!

I hope this helps to put a spin on your Winter days!
