What exactly does your role entail and why do you love working at Placement Partner?
Working on a variety of different projects and activities within our operation is really what keeps my job interesting. I also really like building good relationships with our clients while working with them on all the financial aspects of our partnership.
It’s also great to be a part of this team – if ever there is a situation where we need to put our heads together to come up with a solution, then we do it. Collectively our goal is to keep our clients happy at the end of the day.
Sheriza really works with our clients on a very personal level because she deals with their money matters. We as her team really appreciate that she has built these trusting relationships with our clients. She is always going the extra mile to support our clients in the long term because she really views our clients as members of the family.
What is the most interesting thing you have learnt from our clients?
One thing I’ve learnt from our clients is the importance of being highly responsive. The sooner I can resolve their issues or see to their requests the better. I understand that it’s simply because of the time-bound, high pressure deadlines which they face. This also goes a long way to building a good relationship with the client which is what I want.
Listening is another very important skill which I’ve learnt in this role. Having a good understanding of the problem is essential to finding the right solution. We need to carefully consider the implications of our actions in the context of each individual client.
That’s all I can remember right now but there is most probably a whole lot more that I’ve learnt from our clients – Keep your client happy and you’ll have a client for life!

- Maintain the urgency. Just as it’s urgent to your client, so it should be urgent to us internally.
- Listen to understand. Remember that each client is unique.
- Think through the potential impacts of your actions together with your client.
- It’s really teamwork! Our clients are our family – They are an extension of our business and without them, we don’t have a business.
What words of wisdom would you like to give your clients at this time?
Use your Placement Partner system to its full potential and use it to work remotely, rather than going to the office and risking infection. Not all Recruiters have access to the tools we offer which enable you to keep operating and to actually grow your business.
Also, we all really just need to stand together during this time and never forget that we will prevail over this epidemic. We need to stay positive and support one another in any way we can. If you have the capacity to help one another in any way, you should. Stand by your fellow man and remember that every cloud has a silver lining. There is something good to take from every situation!
For us at Placement Partner, this crisis has given us a wonderful opportunity to get closer to our clients and to be a support to all the Recruiters out there. It’s enabled us to feel positive and change for the better. It’s led to us growing as people and as a business rather than being bogged down by the problems we’re all facing.
