In this week’s interview JP Malherbe, one of our Sales and Training Consultants, shares his thoughts and views on the the current situation in the Recruitment Industry.
As he tells a little bit about himself, what keeps him motivated and what he has observed in the industry during this time, this young gent offers up some sage advice straight from the heart to give you a bit of a boost!
JP’s journey with Placement Partner started in 2018 and he hasn’t looked back since. He feels it is a great privilege to be working with an industry-leading team and loves being able to interact with so many different people and types of businesses. He says he loves having the opportunity to help recruiters to improve and do things better.
What do you like the most about your job?
The absolute number one thing is making a positive difference – Making things better than they were before. It’s a great feeling to know that being there and doing your part is making things better for other people. He describes it as a love of optimizing processes to help people get from A to B more easily.
What would your message be to the current recruitment industry?
Keep going, keep moving forward!
Although things are hard right now, there is no point in giving up when we have come so far. Recruitment is not for the faint of heart. It’s a tough game and things will always be tough – This is just a new environment with new challenges which we need to navigate. It’s time for survival of the fittest!
JP tells us about Crystal, from BST Solutions, who is still operating at a good capacity during this time. Her view is that there is plenty of business out there and that you can’t view this time as a break or a vacation. This is just a new environment which we need to adapt to in order to keep going.
What are you and your team doing during this time?
Our aim is to be like a lighthouse in the storm right now. We’d like to guide our clients along in their journey to success. We see that they are crawling through this time and we are right there beside them, being as supportive as we possibly can. We’re really focused on making things better, easier and faster for recruiters by automating all tedious tasks and streamlining processes overall.
